Subscriby vs LaunchPass
Depth on Telegram and Discord, connectors for what comes next, vs. Stripe billing across three chat apps
Prices checked on 28 September 2026
LaunchPass charges access to Discord servers, Telegram groups, and Slack workspaces using Stripe checkout. If your community lives across more than one chat platform, LaunchPass manages all of them in one dashboard. Subscriby runs on Telegram and Discord today and is built on connectors, so more platforms follow without a new tool; and on Telegram it goes deeper: Telegram Stars, regional payment gateways for India, Africa and Sri Lanka, a public REST API, 191 webhook events, Zapier and n8n integrations, and an MCP server for AI workflows.

Disaster Recovery Program — peace of mind when access is lost overnight
A lost channel, bot or account is detected in seconds, you are alerted, and every paying member is re-admitted to a new one automatically, with standby bots and failover on Growth. Fair use: for creators who lost access through no fault of their own; self-service once per 90 days, then our support team reviews the account, and a confirmed violation of the platform's or Subscriby's terms closes it.
Subscriby Copilot — an AI operator that does the routine work
Ask about your members and money: the Copilot answers from your own data, does the routine work with your permissions, asks before anything it cannot undo, answers members from what you taught it and writes you every Monday. Free turns on every plan. LaunchPass advertises no AI operator.
Portal Designer — a member page in your brand, on every plan
The portal page members buy and sign in on takes your design: presets with light and dark palettes, self-hosted fonts, the layout and the plan cards, content blocks, your own wording in every language, your pixels and a stylesheet, previewed live and published when you say, on every plan, with a demo to try first. LaunchPass Premium takes a logo, a header image and limited colours; the layout stays fixed.
Revenue Recovery — a grace window, one offer, win-back sequences
A failed renewal keeps the member's access for a grace window you set, with notices carrying the way to pay again; a member who cancels is asked why and made one offer; one who left hears from you on the days you chose. LaunchPass's failed payments follow Stripe's retries, with none of the three advertised.
Lead nurture and checkout recovery
A lead who never bought, a stalled checkout and a trial about to end each enter a sequence in your words, with the way to the plan and a coupon on every step and a Stop for the member; the ones that come back are counted. LaunchPass advertises no follow-ups of this kind.
Smart Links that say which channel pays
A tracked address per channel with clicks, leads, checkouts, paid members and lifetime revenue, a bot link and a QR code per link, campaign tags kept, and a button or your plan cards to embed on your own site, on every plan. LaunchPass embeds a payment widget and advertises no funnel per link.
A Transaction Fees ledger, line by line
Every fee Subscriby charges is one line with the payment it came from, whether it was taken at source or metered onto your invoice, and the invoice that billed it; filter a month by project, channel and kind and export it as a CSV. LaunchPass takes its fee and Stripe's off each payment and advertises no ledger.
Time-limited passes — scheduled access windows
Sell access to a window you schedule rather than an open-ended membership: a customer buys the Sunday pass on Wednesday, is admitted on Sunday morning and removed that night with no manual invites, however many people bought, and a pass series sells a whole season as one purchase. LaunchPass has nothing comparable.
Coupon codes you author in the product, on every gateway
LaunchPass coupons live in your Stripe dashboard and reach Stripe-paying members only. Subscriby authors codes in the dashboard, the bot, the API and MCP and applies them across seven providers on one-time plans, with a per-subscriber cap, a minimum spend, a plan restriction and a scheduled window, plus per-code reporting on redemptions and revenue taken.
Telegram Stars — LaunchPass has no integration
Telegram Stars is Telegram's own payment method: subscribers pay inside the app without a card or an external checkout, and Subscriby supports it natively on every plan beside the card and crypto gateways, so a member who never leaves Telegram can still pay you. LaunchPass's site does not list Telegram Stars support.
Regional gateways for non-US/EU audiences
Razorpay covers India and 85+ currencies, Paystack covers Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Kenya, Mollie covers Europe with iDEAL, SEPA Direct Debit and Bancontact, and CeyPay covers Sri Lanka, each connected in your own account and paying you directly. LaunchPass is Stripe-driven and lists no regional gateway, so an audience in those markets has no way to pay you through it.
Public REST API and 191 webhook events
Subscriby has a documented public REST API across 40 resource families and 191 webhook events covering every subscription lifecycle moment, so a system of your own reacts the moment something happens. LaunchPass advertises neither an API nor a webhook system on its site, so building on top of it is opaque.
Zapier integration + n8n community node
LaunchPass lists Zapier, wired through Stripe rather than a connector of its own, so Zaps fire on Stripe payment events, not on LaunchPass subscription state. Subscriby's Zapier integration and n8n community node fire on Subscriby events directly: subscription created, renewed, cancelled, expired, member removed, plan changed and more.
MCP server for AI-native workflows
The Subscriby Model Context Protocol server exposes 240 tools, each declared read-only, additive or destructive and the destructive ones held behind an explicit human confirmation, so Claude, ChatGPT or an agent of your own can read your members, manage access and run reports. LaunchPass has no MCP server.
A free plan that can charge from day one
Subscriby Free is $0 a month with a flat 10% transaction fee and charges members from the first sale. LaunchPass Basic is also $0 but cannot charge for membership at all; paid access needs Premium at $29 a month plus 3.5%, with Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 on top, so the fees stack rather than replace each other.
Multi-project isolation, team RBAC, and audit trail
Agencies running several paid communities need isolation between clients, role-based team access and an audit log. Subscriby Growth includes 81 fine-grained permissions, project-level data isolation and a full activity log with actor and timestamp. LaunchPass advertises none of these, which makes multi-client work harder to run cleanly.
Two-way member support inside the bot
A member who messages your bot reaches you instead of an error: the thread lands in a shared inbox with their plan, join date and payment history, with assignment, notes and saved replies, and your answer arrives in Telegram under your own name, so they know a person read it.
Choose Subscriby if you…
- Telegram-first creators wanting deep Telegram integration including Telegram Stars
- Creators outside US/UK/EU needing Razorpay, Paystack, or CeyPay
- Builders using Zapier, n8n, REST API, or MCP in their workflow
- Communities that want crypto checkout via CoinPayments or CeyPay
- Creators who prefer a flat-fee model over LaunchPass + Stripe fees stacked together
- Agencies managing multiple client communities needing project isolation, team RBAC, and an audit trail
Stick with LaunchPass if you…
- Communities living across Telegram, Discord, and Slack — LaunchPass manages all three from one dashboard, Subscriby runs on Telegram and Discord.
- Teams that specifically need Apple Pay or Google Pay at checkout for a mobile-first audience.
Common Questions
- Does Subscriby support Discord or Slack like LaunchPass?
- Discord, yes: Subscriby runs on Telegram and Discord today, and Slack is in development, so a community that lives on it should stay on LaunchPass until that connector ships; WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, Discourse and 6 more are on the public roadmap.
- Why does LaunchPass have two layers of fees?
- LaunchPass's platform fee is separate from Stripe's processing fee. Basic cannot charge members at all; on Premium ($29/mo), LaunchPass takes 3.5% and Stripe takes 2.9% + $0.30 on top. Subscriby charges one flat transaction fee (10% / 3% / 1%) and your own gateway's processing fee applies as it would on any account there.
- Can my Indian or Nigerian audience pay through Subscriby?
- Yes. Razorpay covers India with UPI, local cards, and 85+ currencies. Paystack covers Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. LaunchPass does not list these regional gateways.
- Can I accept Telegram Stars on either platform?
- Subscriby supports Telegram Stars natively — subscribers pay inside Telegram without a card or external checkout. LaunchPass's marketing site does not list Telegram Stars as a supported method.
- Does either platform integrate with Zapier?
- Subscriby has a Zapier integration, an n8n community node, an MCP server with 240 tools, and a public REST API. LaunchPass does not advertise any of these on its site.
