Switch

Switch Without Losing a Member

One guide per tool you might be leaving: what you keep, what changes, the steps in order, and the quirks of that tool that decide how the move goes. Every guide keeps the same channel and bridges every paying member so nobody pays twice.

Why a switch never has to lose a member

No membership tool can take over another tool's live subscriptions. A subscription is a billing agreement between your member and a gateway under the old tool's account; a new tool cannot charge that card next month or know when the agreement ends. Every guide here starts from that fact instead of pretending otherwise, and then gives the method that works: run both bots in the same channel for one billing cycle, bridge every paying member with a code so nobody pays twice, and let the old subscriptions run out.

The bridge is an ordinary plan with renewal switched off, a fixed length and the access-codes-only restriction, so it can never be bought, only redeemed. A code inside your plan's monthly allotment (5 on Free, 25 on Starter, 150 on Growth) is a sale the platform waives its commission on; codes beyond it are charged at your plan's rate. Members redeem in the bot, keep their access for the rest of the period they already paid for, and buy from the new bot when it ends.

Each guide below is written for one tool: what you keep, what changes, what its particular quirks mean for the move, and the questions its customers ask before they switch. Where the tool you are leaving is the better fit for you, the guide says so; the comparison it links to says why.

Before you start

01

Know every end date

The list of who paid until when is the migration plan. Get it out of the old tool first, whatever form it comes in.

02

Keep the same channel

Two bot admins in one channel is normal for a few weeks. A new channel loses the history and the standing of the old one.

03

Match the prices

A member who sees a different price on the new bot assumes the switch is a price rise. Recreate the tiers exactly, then change prices later if you must.

04

Bridge, do not re-bill

Nobody pays for a period they already paid for. A code-only plan covering the rest of it costs you a code and a message, and keeps the trust.

05

Reconnect your own gateways

Your Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay or Paystack account is yours and connects here in minutes. The money lands where it always did.

06

Give it one full cycle

Run both tools for as long as your longest plan. Monthly plans need a month; yearly members need a longer bridge or a later retirement of the old bot.

Common Questions

01

Can Subscriby import my subscriptions from another tool?

No tool can. A subscription is an agreement between your member and a gateway under the old tool's account. The guides here bridge each member with a code so nobody pays twice, and members start a new subscription with the new bot when their paid period ends.

02

Will my members have to do anything?

Tap one link and redeem one code. The bot does the rest, and reminds them before their old period ends so they buy from the new bot on time.

03

Do I need a new channel?

No. Add the new bot as a second administrator of the existing channel; the history, members and pinned posts stay where they are.

04

What do the access codes cost?

A code inside your plan's monthly allotment (5 on Free, 25 on Starter, 150 on Growth) is a sale the platform waives its commission on. Codes beyond the allotment are charged at your plan's transaction rate.

05

Is there an assisted migration?

Not yet. Some rivals sell one; here the guides are the assistance, and support answers questions along the way. It is a fair reason to weigh them, and the comparison pages say so.
