Sell Memberships with Mollie
iDEAL, SEPA Direct Debit, Bancontact, cards and PayPal for European members, with renewals, on Telegram and Discord
A Dutch member reaches for iDEAL, a German one for SEPA, a Belgian one for Bancontact, and a card-only checkout turns each of them into a hesitation. Mollie offers the methods Europe actually pays with, in 29 currencies, renews a plan on the mandate the first payment leaves behind, and connects with one API key.

Why creators pick Mollie
The methods Europe pays with
Mollie presents each buyer the options their country uses: iDEAL in the Netherlands, Bancontact in Belgium, SEPA Direct Debit across the eurozone, cards and PayPal everywhere, with more methods switched on from your Mollie dashboard.
Renewals on a mandate
The first payment of a recurring plan leaves a mandate on the card, the bank account or the PayPal account behind it; Subscriby starts a Mollie subscription on that mandate at the plan's full price, Mollie charges every cycle, and a failed charge opens the member's grace period here.
One key, nothing to register
Mollie is an API key from your website profile, test or live, and its prefix tells Subscriby which mode you meant. Subscriby tells Mollie where to send the notification for every payment, so there is no webhook to configure.
Verified before it counts
Mollie's notifications carry no signature, so Subscriby never trusts one: every notification is read back from Mollie with your own key, and a payment that is not yours is refused before anything is recorded.
How to connect Mollie
- 1
Open a Mollie account, add a website profile and enable the payment methods you want to offer; for plans that renew, include a method whose first payment leaves a mandate (iDEAL, Bancontact, cards or PayPal) and SEPA Direct Debit, which an iDEAL or Bancontact mandate renews through.
- 2
Under Developers, then API keys, copy the Test API key or the Live API key of that profile; the key decides the mode.
- 3
In your dashboard open Payment Methods, choose Set Up a Payment Method, pick Mollie and select the mode that matches the key.
- 4
Paste the API key, switch the method on and save; a key whose prefix contradicts the mode is refused.
- 5
Attach Mollie to plans priced in euros or another of its currencies. No plan sync is needed: Mollie takes each charge as it comes.
Best for
- Communities whose members live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the rest of Europe
- Plans priced in euros
- Creators pairing a European method with a global card gateway

Every active method is offered at checkout, so a second one widens who can pay you.
Common Questions
Read the setup guide- Can members outside Europe pay through Mollie?
- Mollie is strongest in its home markets, and cards and PayPal through Mollie reach further. For members elsewhere, switch on Stripe, Polar or Kelviq as well; every active method whose currency matches the plan is offered at checkout and the buyer picks one.
- Which currencies does Mollie take?
- Any of the 29 currencies Mollie settles in on Subscriby, EUR first, then GBP, USD, CHF, PLN, SEK, DKK, NOK and more. Price the plan in one of them and attach Mollie; which methods a buyer sees depends on the currency, and EUR works with nearly all of them.
- Do recurring plans work with Mollie?
- Yes, when the first payment is made with a method that leaves a mandate: iDEAL, Bancontact, cards or PayPal, with an iDEAL or Bancontact mandate renewing through SEPA Direct Debit. Mollie then charges the mandate every cycle. A plan whose cycle is longer than a year cannot renew on Mollie and is refused at checkout.
- Do I need to set up a webhook in Mollie?
- No. Subscriby hands Mollie the address to call with every payment it creates and reads each notification back from Mollie before acting on it.
- Do coupon codes work with Mollie?
- Yes, on one-time and recurring plans. The coupon reduces the first payment; a recurring plan then renews at the plan's full price.
