Switching from InviteMember

Switch From InviteMember Without Losing a Member

The same channel, the same members, your own gateways, and no cap on what you sell

Most creators leave InviteMember for one of three reasons: the monthly sales cap ($1,000 on Leader, $2,000 on Visionary, $5,000 on Innovator), the InviteMember branding on the bot below the top tier, or the lack of any API or webhook to connect the community to the rest of what they run. What stops them is the fear of the move itself. This page is the move, step by step, with the InviteMember-specific parts spelled out.

What you keep
Your channel, your members, your history
The new bot joins the existing channel as a second administrator; nobody re-joins anything.
What changes
The bot, and who bills the next period
Members redeem a code to keep their current access and buy from the new bot when it ends.
How long
One billing cycle side by side
A month for monthly plans; yearly members get a longer bridge and the old bot stays until the last one ends.
What it costs
From $0 a month
Free is $0 with a 10% fee and no cap; the paid tiers lower the fee. Codes inside your allotment carry no commission.

What you keep

Your channel and its history

Two bot administrators in one channel is normal for the switch-over weeks. Members notice a new bot name in their messages and nothing else.

Your gateways

InviteMember runs on Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack, CoinPayments and Telegram Stars; every one of them connects here with the same account, so the money lands where it always did.

Your access codes and trials

Both tools have codes and cardless trials. Recreate the codes you still need; the bridge codes are the first ones you generate.

Your prices

Recreate the tiers exactly. A different price on the new bot reads as a price rise in the middle of a move.

How to switch

  1. 1

Export what your current tool shows you: each member, their plan, what they paid and when their current period ends. The end dates decide when each member buys from the new bot.

  2. 2

Create your own bot, make it an administrator of the same channels, groups and supergroups beside the old bot, and connect it to Subscriby. Nobody needs a new channel; the history and pinned posts stay put.

  3. 3

Recreate your plans at the same prices, then add one bridge plan: renewal off, a fixed length that covers the longest remaining period, and the access-codes-only restriction so nobody can buy it.

  4. 4

Generate one access code per paying member, give the codes a short expiry, and send them in one message that says what is happening: a new bot, the same channel, redeem to keep your access, your next payment goes through the new bot when your current period ends.

  5. 5

Stop new sales on the old tool the day the new bot goes live, so nothing you sell today has to be moved tomorrow. Existing subscriptions run out on their own.

  6. 6

Let the new bot remind the stragglers a week and a day before their old period ends; members who redeemed are already in, members who did not are still covered by the old tool until then.

  7. 7

When the last old subscription has ended, remove the old bot from the channel and cancel that plan. From here the new bot admits, renews and removes on its own.

InviteMember specifics

  • The subscriptions stay behind

Your members' card subscriptions live under InviteMember's integration with your gateway. They cannot be adopted; they run out and members re-subscribe through the new bot. The bridge code covers the gap.

  • The cap disappears

There is no revenue cap on any plan here, including Free. If you moved because you hit $1,000 in a month, you never have to think about it again.

  • The branding goes at Starter

InviteMember removes its branding only on Innovator at $149 a month. Here the bot is white-labelled from Starter at $39 a month, and Free carries the platform's mark.

  • The flat fee becomes a percentage

InviteMember charges no percentage. Free here is 10%, Starter 3%, Growth 1%. Below about $390 a month in sales InviteMember's $39 is cheaper than Free; read the comparison before you move.

Common Questions

Read the comparison
01

Will my members pay twice when I switch from InviteMember?

No. A code-only bridge plan covering the rest of their paid period keeps their access without a charge; they pay the new bot only when that period would have renewed anyway.

02

Can I keep my InviteMember gateway accounts?

Yes. Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack and CoinPayments are your own accounts and connect here in minutes; Telegram Stars needs no account at all.

03

Do I need a new channel?

No. Add the new bot as a second administrator of the existing channel and keep everything in it.

04

How long should both bots run?

One full cycle of your longest plan. Monthly plans need a month; hand yearly members a longer bridge code and retire the old bot when the last one ends.

05

When is InviteMember the better choice?

When you sell one plan to one channel, stay under $1,000 a month and never want a webhook or an API: its flat $39 costs less than Free's 10% above $390 a month, and less than Starter at any volume up to the cap.
