Sell Memberships with Kelviq

A merchant of record that collects, taxes and pays out for you, with automatic renewals and recovery, for communities on Telegram and Discord

Kelviq sells on your behalf: the buyer pays Kelviq, Kelviq collects and remits sales tax and VAT wherever it sells, and pays you out in more than 90 countries on its own Stripe rail, including many where a creator cannot open a Stripe account. Your plans become Kelviq plans, renewals and failed-payment retries run on Kelviq's side, and the only thing you paste is one Server API Key.

Why creators pick Kelviq

Tax is Kelviq's problem, not yours

As the merchant of record Kelviq is the seller on every receipt: it registers, calculates, collects and remits sales tax and VAT wherever your members are, and you receive a payout with the tax already handled.

Payouts in 90+ countries

Kelviq pays sellers out in more than 90 countries through its own Stripe Connect accounts and presents prices in 137 currencies, so a creator in a country Stripe does not serve directly can still sell by card to a global audience.

Renewals and recovery on Kelviq's side

A recurring plan becomes a Kelviq plan with a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly price. Kelviq charges every cycle, emails the member a payment link when a card fails and retries up to eight times over fourteen days, and tells Subscriby by webhook when a subscription is active, past due or cancelled, so access follows the money without you doing anything.

One key, and the catalogue builds itself

Kelviq is connected with one Server API Key. Subscriby creates the product, the plans and the webhook endpoint on your organization the first time a plan syncs, keeps the endpoint's secret and verifies every delivery; if Kelviq refuses the registration the method is switched off and you are told.

How to connect Kelviq

  1. 1

Create a Kelviq account, complete its business verification and payout onboarding, and under Settings, then API keys, copy the Server API Key.

  2. 2

For a dry run first, switch Kelviq's dashboard to its sandbox environment and copy that key instead; a sandbox key works only against the sandbox and a production key only against production.

  3. 3

In your dashboard open Payment Methods, choose Set Up a Payment Method, pick Kelviq and select Live or Test to match where the key came from.

  4. 4

Paste the key, switch the method on and save; leave the webhook secret empty, Subscriby registers the endpoint for you.

  5. 5

Choose Sync Subscription Plans from the method's menu so your plans exist in Kelviq; every later change to a plan on sale is pushed on its own.

Common Questions

Read the setup guide
What does merchant of record mean for me?
Kelviq is the seller on every transaction: it collects the payment, calculates and remits the tax, handles the buyer's invoice and refund, and pays you the proceeds. You never register for VAT in a country because a member there bought a plan.
Which currencies can I price plans in with Kelviq?
Any of the 137 currencies Kelviq presents, among them USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, INR and BRL. Price the plan in one of them and attach Kelviq; Kelviq presents the price to the buyer, adds the tax it must collect and pays you out in your payout currency.
Which billing cycles can a Kelviq plan have?
Monthly, every three months, every six months, yearly and one-time for every organization, and daily, weekly or four-weekly once Kelviq has switched those periods on for yours. A plan on another cycle stays on your other methods.
Do coupon codes work with Kelviq?
Yes, on one-time and recurring plans. A coupon applied at checkout becomes a once-only Kelviq discount code for that purchase, so a recurring plan is discounted on its first charge and renews at full price.
What happens when a renewal fails?
Kelviq emails the member a payment link and retries the card up to eight times over fourteen days; Subscriby opens its own grace window, reminds the member with the same link, and ends access only if every retry fails.
Can I test with Kelviq's sandbox first?
Yes. Copy the sandbox Server API Key, add Kelviq as a Test method and pay with a test card number through a real checkout, then add a Live method beside it with the production key.
