Whop is a marketplace first: it charges 3% on gated sales plus 2.7% and $0.30 processing, prices payouts separately, and puts your community on its storefront beside everyone else's. Creators leave when they want their own brand on the bot, their own gateway account paying them on its schedule, or a community that is not one listing among thousands. Whop is strongest on Discord, which matters for the timing of your move; this page covers that too.
- Ce que vous gardez
- Votre channel, vos membres, votre historique
Your channel and its history
Two bot administrators in one channel is normal for the switch-over weeks; members see a new bot name and nothing else.
Your members, under your brand
The bot carries your name and picture from Starter, the portal carries your branding, and nobody is shown a marketplace of other communities on the way in.
Your prices
Recreate the tiers exactly; a different price on the new bot reads as a price rise in the middle of a move.
Your payout, on your terms
Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay or Paystack pay you on their own schedules into your own account; there is no platform payout and no payout fee to price in.
Comment changer
- 1
Export what your current tool shows you: each member, their plan, what they paid and when their current period ends. The end dates decide when each member buys from the new bot.
- 2
Create your own bot, make it an administrator of the same channels, groups and supergroups beside the old bot, and connect it to Subscriby. Nobody needs a new channel; the history and pinned posts stay put.
- 3
Recreate your plans at the same prices, then add one bridge plan: renewal off, a fixed length that covers the longest remaining period, and the access-codes-only restriction so nobody can buy it.
- 4
Generate one access code per paying member, give the codes a short expiry, and send them in one message that says what is happening: a new bot, the same channel, redeem to keep your access, your next payment goes through the new bot when your current period ends.
- 5
Stop new sales on the old tool the day the new bot goes live, so nothing you sell today has to be moved tomorrow. Existing subscriptions run out on their own.
- 6
Let the new bot remind the stragglers a week and a day before their old period ends; members who redeemed are already in, members who did not are still covered by the old tool until then.
- 7
When the last old subscription has ended, remove the old bot from the channel and cancel that plan. From here the new bot admits, renews and removes on its own.
Particularités de Whop
Check the platform first
Whop's strength is Discord. Telegram are available here today and Discord is in development; if your community lives on Discord, wait for that connector rather than moving your members twice.
The subscriptions stay behind
Members' recurring payments run through Whop. They cannot be adopted; they run out and members re-subscribe through the new bot, bridged by a code in between.
Marketplace traffic goes with it
Whop's storefront sends some communities members they did not find themselves. Here you bring your audience; the portal, the bot's start link and your own channels are the front door.
Two fees become one
Whop charges 3% plus processing plus a payout fee. Here you pay your plan's rate (10% on Free, 3% on Starter, 1% on Growth) plus your gateway's processing, and nothing on payouts.
Mes abonnements Whop seront-ils repris ?
Non.
